Scoundrelles Burlesque and Pole
Burlesque and pole classes organised & taught by Lena Marlene, Clare Challen, and Vivienne la Rouge. I’ve been taking classes with them for a few months and participated in Lena’s RaGTaG Revue. It’s awesome fun!

Up with People International Alumni Association
Organization for alumni and staff of global education organization Up with People . Was one-time board member (Era Rep WorldSmart/2000-2004).

International House Brisbane
Residential college based in University of Queensland which is home to about 240 students – 50% international. Part of the International House network of student housing worldwide, with a focus on diversity and international education.

The Star BRATS
Youth journalism initiative organized by Malaysian national newspaper The Star . Besides contributing to a monthly pullout, Ole Brats, Brats also get involved in community service activities related to the environment, health, and national youth culture.

9rules
Elite website community that selects the “best of the web” in blogs and aggregates their posts in different categories. EducateDeviate was recently accepted into their Education category.

Mensa
Organization for those that score in the “genius” level in a special IQ test. Joined hoping to encourage younger members to get involve in change in their communities, but so far have not found many options or opportunities to do so.

While not necessarily formally affiliated with them currently, I have also been involved with Amnesty International , Women’s Aid Organization , AWAM , YouthMalaysia , YSEI , the Brisbane City Council , the QUT Student Guild , AIESEC QUT , and so on.
