End of the Weekend: Links to Love
comments • Tagged End of the Weekend, Links • posted in blog • PermalinkSo a lot of blogs have a weekly meme where they round up their favourite posts from the rest of the Internet. I share a lot of links via Twitter/Facebook, so I thought I’d do the same (if only there was a more automated yet pretty way of doing this). For now I’d be doing them on Sunday nights, but I might change them around if I feel like it.
For the first instalment:
- This blew my mind. Vanessa takes wishes and crafts them into magic-releasing pinatas. You have to see the photos to truly appreciate the madness and beauty.
- Her Speak wishes you some merry making – her dreamboards and pictures are incredible!
- Edible dreamboards! (well sorta) Who would have thought?
- I wish I had an American passport, because I would absolutely apply for the World Traveller Internship. Sounds like the best thing ever!
- German kids, about 5-7 years, attempt to elope in Africa. HOW CUTE ARE THEY. The Bellman’s MeFi story is just as adorable.
- I was helping a friend look up food delivery websites in the UK, and this candy shop made me absolutely hungry. Which is an achievement, considering I’m not a candy person.
- “It’s what you can do that should count when you apply for a job, not where you learned to do it.” Truth.
- The birth of a new meme (in the Middle East anyway): All English, All Zee Time!
- Have you heard about the Burger King Whopper Virgin ads? The campaign for the Humanitarian Lion completely pwns them all.
- The concept of a retainer is a pretty interesting model for business payments.
- There are people like me in the world! (Warning: slightly gross) I also have this condition, which is not gross but pretty bizarre.
- Article 8, a pretty powerful movie about the much-marginalised LGBTQ community in Malaysia.
- Once they work out the issues with cropping and borders, I WANT THIS CAMERA – the Polaroid Digital
- Sir Ken Robinson has been my hero ever since his TED Talk on schools killing creativity. His new book is out soon and I would love to give it a read sometime.
- Are you a young Australian working on something creative? Check out The Bubble, an avenue for you to get your work commissioned and publicised.

uuuu….. all new website!
Wishing you a fantastic 2009 … new website is a great way to start :)
